Sustaining APAC – Reducing Anxiety in Uncertain Times by Joe Pane
April 14 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Uncertainty has always been a part of our lives. We are currently experiencing an acute dose of it. Most people’s emotional reaction has not been directly from the virus. Their fear has been from the emotions of the fear itself is generating. Emotions do not respond to facts. Our emotions respond to our perception of the facts. Yes, there are clear medical and statistical facts, but we are all emotionally responding in different ways. We are not in control of what is going on ‘out there’, but we are in control of our perception of what is going on out there.
Perceptions are richly flavoured by our emotions. Our emotions are generated by our thoughts. Our thoughts are affected by what we focus on. In this session
we will focus on key strategies on how to boost our emotional fitness so we can handle the acute uncertainty which will be with us for many months to come. These strategies and focus points, will be simple, implementable and I encourage for you to share with loved ones and anyone you can help.
